FSU Basketball is in full swing. Check back here often for club events and game watching parties; times always change based on television networks commitments. Tickets for this game are virtually non-existent; cheer on your Noles on local tv.

Whether you live in Maryland, the DC suburbs or just visiting our state, you’ll find many FSU friends here. Our members are from all over Maryland with a high concentration of members from Howard County. We are a variety of ages and careers. Most importantly, we like to get together and have fun.
We all have one common thread, one bond – pride of Florida State University. That feeling you get deep in your gut when you hear the fight song, the war chant, and the name – Florida State University.
During the fall we get together for football watching parties. We decorate the pub in garnet and gold, the CD player blares the warchant and fight song. The pub is packed with excited Seminoles and their families. Watching the games with us is the next best thing to being in Doak Campbell Stadium.
Welcoming the teams has quickly become a tradition with our club. See our photos below from the 2004 year's welcome of the football team and go to links for our 2002 photo album. In 2004 the Baltimore Ravens organization donated a Raven's baseball cap, which they got autographed for us by former Seminoles, Deion Sanders and Peter Boulware. We raffled the cap at the team hotel on the Friday before the FSU v. MD football game and raised money for the National FSU Boosters. In 2006 we did it all over again, raising money for the alumni association and the Boosters.
Every summer we have our annual picnic in Centennial Park in Columbia. The pavilion is set atop a hill overlooking a scenic lake. There is always plenty of free food and drinks for members and their families. Everyone enjoys the opportunity to sit and talk with each other in a relaxing atmosphere. This is the time of year for giving. The club encourages everyone to reach out and help a member of the community.
Holiday season 2004, club members worked two weekends packing food at the Giant Foods - Maryland Food Bank Project. Volunteers from all over Maryland packed 15,000 boxes of food that Giant provided for the "Good Neighbor" food drive in November and December.Each box contained non-perishable food products selected by nutritionists for the project.
Our club purchased 21 boxes of food, which Giant distributed to the Maryland Food Bank for needy families in the community. The money was raised at our 2004 FSU v. Florida game watching party. |
